Basically, I found that I did not fit into Corporate America all that
well. I was very fed up with my old job and I knew that things could
only get better if I were to start my own company. So that is what I
did. It was more a question of self-fulfillment than your classic story
of an entrepeneur with a great vision. IDEO's business model was never
developed from scratch. It is the result of an evolutionary process that
relates strongly to our hiring practises.

我受夠了我的工作，而且我發現假如我自行創業，我才會過得比較舒服。

How do you hire people?

Our main goal is to find people from a wide variety of backgrounds. It
is essential to our business model that we different views and
knowledge. I myself am an product designer , but we have linguists, people who
have no degree at all and even some people who aren't all that convinced
about the way we do things.

The truth is that sometimes people won't tell the truth. They might tell
you that they had no trouble using a certain device, however, when you
watch them do it, you would find that in fact they were struggling.
