The primary impression I had of the factory was that it was well-organized and quite original in the way it was conceived, however that it suffered from serious problems of unused capacity.

The factory was well-organized and  original in the sense that the people working there were very coordinated. In the entire time I spent there, I never saw one person who wasn't busy, yet at the same time there did not seem to be a bottleneck where clothes piled up, because the speed of the frontmen could not be kept up with. It seems that the management of the factory has a clear idea of the proportions of people that are needed at every working step in order for the factory to operate smoothly. The efficiency was exacerbated by the self-invented machines used to transport laundry from one working step to another.

However, the factory seemed to suffer from serious problems of overcapacity. Of the 13 large washing machines, only 6 were running at the time we visited. Also, the two smaller washing machines were not in operation either. Of the 8 tables used to chemically treat stains, only 3 were manned. Similarly, of the about a dozen ironing boards, less than half were being used. The self-invented conveyer belts used to transport clothes from one step to another could, in theory, carry far more laundry than they did. There seemed to be no bottlenecks in terms of machinery (and it would be quite implausible, too, if there any, given the described efficiency of organization). These circumstances suggest that the demand for the companies' services have dropped below 50% of  capacity.

This problem, however, did not seem to exist at 2nd floor, where larger pieces of laundry were being washed. All of the washing machines there were in operation and there was  no indication for unused capacity.

Taking this into consideration, it is quite obvious why the company's management would seek to improve marketing and introduce a new logo. As the factory's most serious bottleneck is ailing demand for its services, an attempt to boost customer awareness seems like the logical reaction.

Good point and observation!
And how about the objects that we have to design?
I am more interested in it!
